Covetrus at LVS ’19: meet the team

With only one day to go, excitement has reached fever pitch at Covetrus HQ. As tomorrow quickly approaches, the team are making final preparations before descending on London’s Excel Arena for Europe’s largest veterinary congress.

This year, Covetrus will showcase why the future is our integrated approach; that means you’ll be meeting lots of familiar faces—and some new ones too, from field-sales to diagnostics, practice management and more. So, let’s meet some of the Covetrus team you’ll be saying hello to at the London Vet Show this year.

Alyson Staines | Event Manager

“New ways of thinking and working, a new team approach.”

Hi Alyson. So the Covetrus team are attending LVS this year. How have the last few months been while preparing for this?

“Planning an event on this scale for a company I’ve only been with since July is no mean feat! Creating a brand-new stand design to reflect our integrated approach, while getting to know the team and the vast array of products and services we have to offer, has been nothing if not an interesting learning curve. This is likely to be echoed by the rest of team too, new ways of thinking and working, a new team approach, it’s all really exciting stuff!”

It must be tricky trying to co-ordinate people from several teams

“It takes a lot of time and effort to bring attendance at this type of event together, so many factors and opinions to consider, so many suppliers and colleagues involved, all looking for specific outcomes.”

And what are you most looking forward to at LVS?

“I’m really looking forward to the culmination of all those months of planning and hours of calls by gathering the Covetrus team in London for what promises to be two fantastic days of CPD and networking, to seeing our loyal customers and welcoming new ones, showing them everything Covetrus has to offer as one joined up business solution.”

Lara Fraser | Marketing Team Lead EMEA

“The better we know how each other work, the better we can do this.”

Hi Lara, how are preparations going for the Practice Management teams?

“This year will be my very first London Vet Show so I’m particularly excited to see how all of our hard work comes together at the event itself. Preparation, as always, has been key! It has been fantastic to have had the opportunity to lead the preparations for our Global Software Services team, now it’s up to the experts, product managers, trainers and specialist consultants to do what they do best – engage, share insights, stories, recommendations and expertise to make sure we make that impact!”

Are there any new releases we can expect from your team in the coming months?

“On our software side, we have some hugely exciting developments to share at London Vet Show and what better platform to share some big news! Do come and talk to our team and be the first to hear about the latest updates to RoboVet this Autumn.”

No doubt it’s going to be great to have all the team in one place?

“What I am looking forward to most is seeing our whole team come together to deliver our one message – the future is our integrated approach. Since we became Covetrus in February this year, our teams have been closely collaborating and getting to know each other better to bring our clients the best possible services and solutions. The better we know how each other work, the better we can do this. This year’s London Vet Show is set to be bigger and better than ever, and to that I say – so are we!”
